The match saw Hetmyer demonstrate incredible composure under pressure, launching Kieron Pollard's final delivery over the boundary to clinch the win.

Earlier in the match, MI New York had set a formidable score of 237/4, thanks to a magnificent unbeaten century from captain Nicholas Pooran. Pooran's explosive innings of 108 runs off just 60 balls included 7 fours and 8 sixes. He was well-supported by Tajinder Dhillon, who contributed a rapid 95 off 35 deliveries.

Despite the onslaught, the Orcas bowlers, Gerald Coetzee and Kyle Mayers, managed to pick up two wickets each, helping to contain the scoring to some extent.

Seattle's chase began poorly, with early wickets falling during the powerplay. Josh Brown and Shayan Jahangir were dismissed quickly.

However, Kyle Mayers (37 off 20) and captain Sikandar Raza (30 off 9) counter-attacked with aggressive hitting, bringing the Orcas back into the game. Heinrich Klaasen added a quickfire 26 off 13 balls before falling to Rushil Ugarkar.

Hetmyer then took center stage, unleashing a remarkable innings of 97 not out from just 40 balls. His innings included 5 fours and 9 sixes, at a stunning strike rate of 242.50.

With the game on the line, Hetmyer faced Kieron Pollard on the final ball, needing five runs to win. He expertly flicked the ball over fine leg for a six, securing a memorable victory for the Seattle Orcas.

"This one is one of the best, because our backs were against the wall," said Hetmyer, who was named Player of the Match. "Today is one of those days, where I went with a clear mind and wanted to take the game as deep as possible."
